16 more samples sent to CARPHA

Sixteen more samples were submitted today between the 10am and 4pm update from the Ministry of Health on May 5.

These samples were submitted to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) and the University of the West Indies, St Augustine site testing for covid19. Total samples tested were 2071.

One patient remains hospitalised in the High Dependency Unit of the Couva hospital. The number of positive covid19 cases remains at 116 with eight deaths and 102 people discharged. Five people are still at the Home of Football step-down facility in Couva.
