6 discharged on Monday

SIX former covid19 patients were discharged on Monday, bringing to 102 the total number of people who have recovered from the virus and were sent home.

The Health Ministry’s daily 10 pm update reported the 102 figure, up by three from the 4 pm update figure of 99, while the 10 am update showed that 96 people had been discharged at that time.

There was also an increase in the number of samples sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) during the course of Monday, with 2,007 samples sent as of 10 am; 2,012 samples sent by 4 pm; and 2,055 samples sent for testing as of the 10 pm update.

The global infection rate, as of 10 pm on Monday, according to the worldometer website, showed 3,645,320 infections, 252,393 deaths and 1,194,942 people recovering from the virus.
