DevelopTT now operational in San Juan Regional Corp

DEVELOPTT, the government’s online automated construction permitting system will next month expand its service to include the San Juan Regional Corporation. In the third quarter athis year, the aim is for a nationwide roll-out.

The system was launched in March, starting with Port of Spain and then the Diego Martin Regional Corporation. DevelopTT is supposed to make applying for various construction permits – a process that can take up to 18 months and require submissions of the same information to several state agencies – more streamlined through its online portal. DevelopTT, a release Wednesday from the Ministry of Trade said, allows applicants to access development approvals and track their applications, from 29 advisory and regulatory government agencies including the Ministry of Planning, the Town and Country Planning Division, the various municipal corporations (when fully activated), the Fire Service, OSHA, the EMA and the HDC.

The system offers approvals for Town and Country outline and planning permission and final planning permission, EMA certificates of environmental clearance, and interim and final approvals, such as building permits, completion certificates, and subdivision permits from municipal corporations.
