Cabo Star stops weekend sailings

The TT Inter-Island Transportation Co (TTIT)'s cargo vessel, the MV Cabo Star, which does not operate on Saturdays, has announced that it has also stopped operations on Sundays.

The company said on Friday in a release that the change is effective immediately because of a reduction in the demand for its service since covid19 restrictions were implemented.

It also issued six guidelines which it said passengers must adhere to in order to use the inter-island service.

They are to undergo a screening exercise prior to entering the port terminals and ferries; anyone with flu-like symptoms would not allowed to enter the terminal without proof of medical assessment; wear masks; wash/sanitise hands prior to entering the terminals; practise proper social distancing in the terminals and on the ferries; and

restrict movement during sailings.

Passengers are also being reminded that the café and bar will remain closed.
