The National Library and Information System (NALIS) is offering a range of online content for students. In a statement on Wednesday, the library said people can access content to keep up with studies and research on their online platform including their website and social media pages.

Content on the pages include virtual programmes, storytelling sessions, spanish and sign language classes, past papers as well as material for SEA and CSEC students. Also available are eBooks, Caribbean novels and articles, business resources, consumer health journals and other educational resources.

The statement said due to the extension of stay-at-home measures to May 15 to contain the spread of the covid19 virus, the library has extended its amnesty on borrowed material to May 31. Overdue books and DVD’s borrowed from the library will therefore not accrue overdue fines during this time. Library cards with expiry dates will also be extended.

The statement said "NALIS is committed to meeting the life-long learning, reading and information needs of the people of Trinidad and Tobago.”

Access to the library’s resources is open to the public and can be accessed at their website www.nalis.gov.tt, using the ID: nalistt and the password: Support@2020.
