Massy Insurance to waive interest payments during covid19

Massy United Insurance announced in a media release that it will waive interest on home and motor insurance premiums as the region tries to contain the covid19 pandemic.

CEO Randy Graham said in the release that new initiatives targeted at enabling customers to keep their insurance protection in place have been activated, especially with the hurricane season approaching.

“These are unprecedented times. We know that our customers are facing a lot of disruption and uncertainty right now, and our dedicated staff and partners continue to work together to address the challenges that our customers are facing. We encourage customersto contact us so that we can find the best solutions which reflect their changing situation,” Graham said.

Massy will also offer relief packages to eligible policyholders with new or renewed motor policies taken out during the months whn people were made to stay at home. The release said the availability of the relief programmes will be based on what local insurance regulations permit.

Massy said it will continue to work with its clients across the Caribbean to provide flexible payment plans and review adjustments which can be made to benefit customers. Although most of its offices had to close because of government restrictions, staff members and agents across the region are working remotely, it said, to ensure customers can make their payments and obtain the necessary coverage.
