Pt Fortin woman dies in highway accident

A 58-year-old woman died on Tuesday afternoon on the Sir Solomon Hochoy highway when a car driven by her son crashed into a utility pole.

Police said the incident occurred about 1.05 pm on the southbound lane, just after the Golconda exit.

Karen Alexis of Coconut Drive, Fanny Village, Point Fortin was in the front passenger seat while her son, Kadeem Alexis, 30, drove.
