THE EDITOR: Let it not be said that I am an ungrateful person or nemakharam as one ex-PM used to eloquently put it. The same day my letter about malfunctioning street light in St Charles Village, Princes Town was printed in the Newsday, the concern was addressed expeditiously.

The morning after the letter, an extremely pleasant woman called to ensure all was well. Thanks to the Newsday for highlighting the safety gap. Thanks to T&TEC for responding. Or the way things are going in Trinidad and Tobago these days, "Muchas Gracias."
