Jamaican media has reported that a man who left a covid19 quarantine centre in Kingston on Tuesday has been found and taken back.

This happened hours after the country announced its first confirmed case of the coronavirus, a woman who had returned from the United Kingdom.

According to the Jamaica Observer, the man left the quarantine centre before 8 pm on Monday and police found him around 2 am on Tuesday.
He was found with a woman.

The paper reported that the man arrived in Jamaica on March 7.
Jamaica is the fourth country in the region to announce a confirmed case of the virus, following announcements by Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe and St Martin.
