Tobago promoted in UK Go Diving Show

The Tobago Tourism Agency Ltd recently attended the Go Diving Show from February 21-23 in Coventry, England to promote the island's diving industry.

The Go Diving Show featured a multitude of dive-related activities including dive pools and training. In addition to the various interactive stands, visitors enjoyed a varied speaker programme with presentations from TV personalities, marine biologists, and accomplished divers, including Tobago’s local dive expert Swiss Robinson of Tobago Dive Experience.

The event was attended by other Caribbean destinations such as Dominica, Belize, Bahamas, British Virgin Islands and Honduras, as well as notable organisations such as the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), the Sub-Aqua Association, the British Sub-Aqua Club and the National Association of Underwater Instructors, which were important target audiences for market intelligence and networking to stimulate dive-related bookings to Tobago.

Tobago’s destination representatives in the UK, Advantage Management Group (AMG Ltd), attended the event on behalf of the Tobago Tourism Agency along with Robinson. The delegation sought to highlight Tobago’s dive product range and drive potential divers, as well as non-diving holiday makers, to book holidays to Tobago. They also met with prospective dive group organisers and dive operators to identify opportunities for them to start selling packages to Tobago.

Attendance at Go Diving Show coincides with the Tobago Tourism Agency’s ongoing marketing campaign with two dive media specialists. The fully integrated campaign on print, social and digital platforms commenced in January 2020 and will continue throughout the year, raising Tobago’s profile among the international diving community.
