Body of Curepe man, 86, found partially burnt

Police are investigating the death of an 86-year-old man whose body was found by neighbours in the backyard of his Iris Lane, Southern Main Road, Curepe home at around 2 pm on Friday.

St Joseph police, homicide investigators and a district medical officer went to the house.

Investigators said Glasgow appeared to have been beaten as he had blood stains to his head, and part of his body was burnt.

Police said Glasgow lived in the back section of a house and no one in the front was home at the time of his death.

Investigators suspect he was murdered during a botched robbery.
