TTEC ignoring David St cries for help

THE EDITOR: I write on behalf of residents of David Street in Gonzales who have been experiencing major electrical woes over the last three to four days, with one house being in what one can only describe as low voltage purgatory.

On Monday night, several residents observed sparks coming from one of the light poles on David Street with many experiencing fluctuations in electricity in their homes.

Several trouble calls were placed that night to TTEC, with many home-owners fearing electrical fires but thankfully no fire took place especially since not one TTEC crew responded to the panicking residents. In fact, one resident opted to be vigilant and observe the pole throughout that night into early morning in case the sparks worsened.

On Tuesday morning, we also made several calls begging TTEC to send a crew to see what was happening with the lines. Up to the time that I wrote this leter, on Wednesday morning, no one from TTEC has responded to our numerous calls.

It seems they will only show up, God forbid, when an eventual fire occurs or electrical appliances are outright destroyed as these voltage fluctuations persist. This is NOT the way you treat PAYING CUSTOMERS.

I urge the Commission and by extension, councillor for the area, Deputy Port of Spain Mayor Hillan Morean to pay heed and address this increasingly dangerous situation as soon as possible.

A RESIDENT

David Street, Gonzales
