Man beats KFC worker, steals 2 boxes of KFC

IN July, a man beat a KFC delivery worker, then robbed him of two boxes of KFC and $325.
Central Division police later arrested and charged Randy Maloney. He faced a Chaguanas magistrate who granted him $35,000 bail to be approved by a clerk of the peace and a $15,000 cash alternative.
PC Bhajan laid the charge.
Yesterday, Maloney reappeared in the first court before magistrate Rajendra Rambachan and complained through his attorney Taradath Singh that he cannot access the bond.
The magistrate replied that the bail was a reasonable amount.
Rambachan added that from the prosecution’s case, it appeared the man beat the victim to get the items. No guns were used in the crime.
The attorney said Maloney had informed him he was not pointed out in a police identification parade. Maloney, Singh said, has no previous convictions or pending matters.
Rambachan made no changes to the bail and adjourned the case to November 29.
