Enforce the laws

THE EDITOR: You just have to laugh at what is happening in the country with regard to politics and the law. What is the point in amending laws when those on the statute book are not enforced or are completely ignored?

We have hundreds of laws but hardly any are enforced – unless it’s the interest of the politicians. Many of our citizens are breaking the law, including those willing to jump on the criminal bandwagon provided the price is right.

Too many are demonstrating a lack of respect for authority, law and order, and those operating our legal system.
