HOMICIDE investigators are continuing enquiries into the murder of a 36-year-old Laventille woman after she was stabbed repeatedly during an argument at her Wharton Street, Laventille, home on Wednesday morning.
Police said Angelina Samuel was at home with a 34-year-old male companion at around 8.30 am when an argument began. The man left the house and came back with a knife and stabbed Samuel, who fought for the knife and stabbed her attacker during the struggle.
Investigators said Samuel's 14-year-old son was also at home during the fight.
Neighbours called the police, who took the two to the Port of Spain General Hospital.
Police said Samuel died while being treated at around 3.15 pm.
The man remains warded and will be questioned by investigators when he recovers.
