Our own Baghdad Bobs

THE EDITOR: Listening to Keith Rowley and Faris Al-Rawi trying to put a spin and deflection on the E-mailgate issue reminded me of the American invasion of Iraq and the response of the then communication minister Muhammad Saeed al-Sahhaf.

Baghdad Bob was better known for his outlandish pronouncements of Iraqi military supremacy and he became a source of amusement to many.

One will recall that in the deadly American bombings of Iraq, Baghdad Bob will message "we will push those crooks, those mercenaries back into the swamp" and his even more hilarious pronouncement as he was ducking bombs at the Airport to blurt that he had slaughtered the American forces.

Today we have our very own Baghdad Bobs!
