Cox replaces Young as Communications Minister

Donna Cox will be sworn in as a senator and Minister of Communications this morning.

This according to a release from the Office of the Prime Minister (OPM) sent out last night. Cox will take over the portfolio from Stuart Young who remains as National Security Minister and Minister in the Office of the Prime Minister.

According to the release, the Prime Minister has advised President Paula-Mae Weekes, in accordance with Section 3(9), 40(2)(a), 76(3) and 79(1) of the TT Constitution to revoke the appointments of Senator Foster Cummings and Young as Minister of Communications to accommodate Cox's appointment.

Cox's swearing-in ceremony will take place at President’s House at 10.30 am.
