JEFF Jin, 41, has been appointed the new CEO of Huawei Technologies TT. A statement issued by Huawei said Jin was appointed yesterday. Jin has 16 years experience in the industry. He has worked in Huawei’s operations in Europe, Central America and in the Asia-Pacific region.

His last posts include CEO of Huawei’s El Salvador office, vice-president of sales in Sweden and business development manager in Singapore.

He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s in mechanical design.

As CEO of Huawei TT, Jin’s responsibilities include overseeing strategic growth, development and overall operations for the company in TT and the Eastern Caribbean.

Jin said, “I look forward to working with the TT Government, operators and local partners to bring digital services to every person, home and organisation to achieve and maintain a fully connected TT.”

He added that Huawei will focus on “collaborations that sustain growth and development wherever we operate.”

A sports aficionado, Jin actively participates in football, golf and tennis. Jin said he was excited to build on strategic partnerships Huawei has already established in TT and continue growing its corporate social responsibility. Huawei first established its offices in TT in 2006. The company operates in more than 170 countries and regions. The Chinese tech giant has more than 188,000 employees worldwide and was first established as a private company in 1987.
