Shooting suspects held in early-morning exercise

Two men who were suspected of a shooting in Morgan Trace, Laventille, were arrested by members of the Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) earlier today.

Police said members of the IATF Fort Chacon Base went to Mango Alley and Pashley Street, Laventille, at around 5.45 am and searched the homes of the men, 37 and 38.

While nothing illegal was found, the men were detained and taken to the Besson Street Police Station for questioning.

In an unrelated incident police found and confiscated a Glock 19 pistol hidden under sheets of galvanise.
