A 48-year-old man was held by police for his role in a San Juan murder last year.

Officers of the Santa Cruz CID arrested the man at his Cantaro Village home at around 5 pm on Tuesday during an anti-crime exercise.

Members of the Homicide Investigations Bureau (Region II) took him into custody for questioning.

The man is a suspect in the July 2018 murder of Kareem Wilson, 29, at the Mellow Moods Bar, Saddle Road, San Juan.

Police said Wilson got into a fight with a man, who left and returned in a vehicle with two other men.

The trio approached Wilson and after a brief scuffle a gunman shot Wilson several times before the three left.
