Amara died of blunt force trauma

THE Arima toddler knocked down by a Nissan Frontier SUV on Saturday and who died of her injuries on Tuesday suffered multiple blunt force trauma, an autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre confirmed this morning.

Police said Amara Reason sustained multiple trauma consistent with a vehicular accident. Investigators said they will be collecting witness statements and medical reports to compile a file to be taken to the Director of Public Prosecutions for a decision on whether charges will be laid.
