Belmont men questioned over east PoS gunshots

Two Belmont men are being questioned by police after they were seen running away from gunfire in east Port of Spain this afternoon.

Police said at around 12.45 pm a joint army-police patrol near Piccadilly Street heard shots and saw the men running away shortly after.

They stopped the men, who said they heard the gunfire and were trying to escape from it.

The patrol took the men to the Besson Street station, where they were being questioned up until this afternoon.
