Central Market looks a lot cleaner

THE EDITOR: In a recent letter, I called on the Port of Spain mayor to take action to improve the filthy and chaotic conditions existing, for many years, at the Central Market on the Beetham Highway.

So it is only fair that I write to mention that the market is looking a lot cleaner in the past month, although there is room for further improvement.

In this regard, a few parking wardens and a more obvious police presence will go a long way to attract more buyers to the market.

Finally, please find a way to stop motorists driving through the market perimeters during shopping hours, as it is a very dangerous practice, which has no place in a civilised setting.
