Fishy smell

THE EDITOR: There is something up and it smells fishy. It concerns our dwindling oil and gas resources. Perhaps this is why the Prime Minister has suddenly gone galavanting and seeing those Shell and BP officials. I hope we have enough funds in the Treasury to pay these officials for their now intended wasteful search of our offshore waters for gas and oil.

Our politicians must face reality. These two commodities are coming to an end because of over exhaustion. The wells are almost dry and there are no more oil and gas left in our offshore waters. Wise politicians should now consider a diversification programme instead of wasting public funds.
