Tobago's sole Mother's Day baby

Candice Murray of Pembroke delivered the only Mother’s Day baby on Sunday at the Scarborough General Hospital. The healthy baby boy arrived at 2.13 pm. He is Murray’s first-born and weighed 4.416 kilogrammes.

The Tobago Regional Health Authority celebrated Murray and other mothers on the hospital’s Maternity Ward. They presented them with gifts and offered best wishes and words of encouragement to them and their families.

Several health officials were present for the distribution of hampers. They included Administrator of the Division of Health, Wellness and Family Development Dianne Baker-Henry; TRHA acting CEO Michelle Edwards-Benjamin; and the head of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Scarborough General, Dr Victor Wheeler.
