Nat Geo team to revisit Tobago in 2 weeks

A production team from the UK edition of National Geographic Traveller will be returning to Tobago within the next two weeks to capture more content to feature Tobago in their print and digital platforms.

In a release from the Tobago Tourism Agency Ltd (TTAL), CEO Louis Lewis says the visitors were given a tour of the island, were treated to Tobago’s food and culture and captured aerial, underwater and ground footage at the historical and most pristine sites of Tobago. They also interviewed Tobagonians.

The production team left the island last week.

TTAL engaged National Geographic Traveller, one of the world’s most known and recognised magazines, for a project intended to increase the interest of international readers in visiting Tobago. The release said, “The resulting content hub on the National Geographic Traveller website will also be integrated in the Tobago Tourism Agency’s marketing activities in source markets.”

Lewis added, “As part of the rebranding of Destination Tobago, it is integral to create content aligned with our core pillars that illustrate Tobago as the unspoilt, untouched and undiscovered Caribbean island where one can explore the extraordinary. We are excited to partner with such an iconic publication with a stellar reputation in travel and tourism.”
