A 'Vene-Trini' for Miss World

THE EDITOR: The Miss World contest is upcoming. And the search is on for someone to represent TT and bring home the title. We need the appropriate mixture of beauty and brains.

Miss Grenada, Jennifer Hosten, won the title in 1970. Miss TT, Giselle Laronde-West won the title in 1986. She defeated actress Halle Berry who came sixth.

The mass influx of Venezuelan women to TT is an opportunity for improvement. Venezuela has won the coveted title six times. Let us offer a Vene-Trini to the contest.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. We have the most beautiful girls in the world.
