11 held in La Horquetta raids

ELEVEN persons have been arrested on enquiries regarding shooting and other serious offences in the La Horquetta district, during an ‘Operation Strike Back’ exercise which took place in the Northern Division.

The operation, which was coordinated by ACP McDonald Jacob and spearheaded by Snr Supt Curtis Paul, was conducted on Sunday to today.

Of the eleven persons arrested, six were held in connection with shooting incidents, one for possession of a firearm, one for possession of marijuana, one for housebreaking, and the remaining two held for traffic offences and outstanding warrants, respectively. Enquiries are ongoing.
