Two dead, one in hospital after early-morning accident

AN early-morning accident on the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, near the Arouca prison, claimed the lives of two people and left one woman injured on Sunday.

Newsday understands one of the victims, Myron Virgil, of Morvant and two unidentified women, were killed when the car in which they were travelling crashed into a concrete barrier along the eastbound lane of the highway at around 4.15 am.

Fire officers said they got to the scene while the car was still on fire and found the burnt bodies of Virgil and one of the women.
