Entrepreneurs to meet at Tea with Stephanie

THERE is a chance for entrepreneurs to meet and generate new ideas, all over tea. This happens on May 26 at Hilton Trinidad and Conference Centre. Stephanie Khan, entrepreneur and business coach, will host Tea with Stephanie: Where entrepreneurs meet.

The bi-annual event offers “small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) the opportunity to meet at least 50 new business owners from various industries in TT and beyond.” This year’s theme is Tech and You – Let's Secure Your Coins.

She started the event last year because she felt “entrepreneurs don’t have a system.”

Some, she added, do not even have the support of their own circle. Khan’s company, Khan Konnect you Ltd, provides support to entrepreneurs from any industry and of any age. This event allows entrepreneurs and service providers to connect, Khan said.

She believes that entrepreneurs play a vital economic role, providing jobs and income.

“Meeting with business owners in a space that allows these SMEs to showcase their product or service gives them the opportunity to boost their business,” she said.

At the event, entrepreneurs will share their product information with each other. There will also be bankers, insurance agents, business owners, accountants and investors at the event.

Simone Sant Ghuran, founder and editor of Trinidad weddings, will be one of the event’s guest speakers. She will speak to personal branding and how it affects business. The other guest speaker, Dwaynne Villiers, managing director and user experience architect of Villiers Interactive Research and Branding will share his experience on social media and owning one’s content.

The event will begin at 2 pm and end at 5 pm.
