THE EDITOR: Minister of Health Terrence Deyalsingh consistently possesses a wide-angle view and reality of the health environment in our country.

It seems that occasionally, citizens have to be told of the description of measles and other critical illnesses. It is a fact that one affected child can affect a few and it’s deserving of applause that the minister has sent a very stern warning to families to keep their children at home until they get the measles vaccination.

Do people realise that medical check-ups in our health institutions are free? Each person must be responsible to their body, take precautions, and eliminate the last-minute rush for vaccinations when conditions reach a critical state.
