TESHAWN Castro's half-century assisted in leading his team Central All Stars to a comfortable seven-wicket victory over SITAL All Stars in the Jaguar Land Rover and FUSO Central Super League (CSL) at Pierre Road Grounds, Charlieville earlier in the week.
SITAL batted first and was skittled out for a mediocre 123 all out from 18 overs. Ewart Nicholson top scored with 29 runs (3 fours, 1 six) while Totaram Rampersad chipped in with 18 runs. Former national left-arm spinner, Ricky Jaipaul was the main destroyer capturing three wickets for 11 runs while Rishi Jaipaul and Castro bagged two wickets apiece.
The Castro show continued as he ensured there were no mishaps when Central had their turn at the crease to chase 124 for victory. The eventual Man of the match played a workmanlike unbeaten innings of 56 came at a run-a-ball rate and included 4 boundaries and 3 maximums. Assisting in the run-scoring was yet another Jaipaul, Ryan who scored 31 runs. Sital`s Kisoondath Magram and Roshad Parag both captured a wicket each.
