UPDATED: Man shot dead, wife injured in Arima

Police are currently at Temple Street, Arima, where a man was fatally shot and a woman critically wounded.

The man has been identified as Dominic Julio and the woman as Desiree Julio, formerly Desiree Layne.

According to reports, the couple went to the house on Temple Street to serve eviction notices when they were shot.

Desiree Julio whose family is well known in Arima is currently at hospital suffering gunshot wounds to the chest and arm.

Police processing the scene recovered more than 59 spent shells.
