Ricardo Newton left the home of relatives on Sunday night to visit his girlfriend and never made it back home.

He was found two days later wrapped in plastic and cloth under a Felicity bridge by a passerby and police suspect his death may have been the result of a domestic dispute.

Newsday spoke yesterday to Newton's sister, who said it was unlike her brother to go missing for more than a few hours, and suspected foul play when he did not answer his phone on Monday morning.

Police said Newton's body was found beneath the number seven bridge along the Couva Link Road by a cyclist who stopped to smoke a cigarette at around 5 pm on Tuesday.

Newton, 29, worked as a construction worker and fruit vendor. His sister said the family learnt of his death from pictures of his body posted on social media.

She said since his death she has been trying to contact his girlfriend to find out what happened, but has not heard from her since his body was found.
