Autopsy: Naomi shot from behind

Naomi Nelson, the 14-year-old girl who was killed during a confrontation between police and residents at the Big Yard, Carenage, last Friday, was shot once in the head from behind, an autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre, St James, confirmed yesterday.

Newsday visited the centre and spoke to Nelson’s grandfather, Curtis Nelson who said the family was still deeply saddened and said the funeral for his granddaughter would most likely be held on Friday in Carenage. Newsday attempted to speak to the relatives of Keron Eve, who was also shot but were unsuccessful.
