YOUNG BASKETBALL standouts Carissa Ramdial of Club Enterprise Basketball and Christian Zoe of the Maloney Pacers Basketball Club and Youth Development Programme, have both been selected to attend the Junior NBA Global Championship Latin America Selection Camp to be held in São Paulo, Brazil from May 24-26.

In a push for time, the NBFTT utilised its pre-screening sessions for the fast approaching Digicel NBA Jumpstart Youth Basketball Clinic to assess the Under-14 participants for the Junior NBA camp. Screening sessions were conducted in the South, North, East and Tobago zones between April 27 to May 3. The Latin America Selection Camp will include girls and boys from Junior NBA leagues and camps in Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and the Caribbean. Successful participants will help to form a Latin America team, one of the eight international teams that will participate in the Junior NBA Global Championship to be held in August 2019 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, Walt Disney World Resort, Orlando, Florida. The Junior NBA Global Championship tournament will feature sixteen regional champions which includes eight US teams and eight international teams that will participate in a week of on-court competition.
