Man, 55, collapses, dies in Beetham

Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 55-year-old man who collapsed and was found foaming from the mouth in Beetham Gardens yesterday.

Inter Agency Task Force police were on patrol along Main Street near the Excel Secondary School at around 5.30 pm when residents told them that a man was seen lying on the road.

Police went to the man and took him to the Port of Spain general hospital where he was treated but died shortly after.

A woman who identified herself as the man's sister identified him as Eric Williams.

No marks of violence were seen on his body and police do not suspect foul play.

Besson Street police are continuing investigations.
