Morvant teen shot

AN 18-year-old Morvant youth is being treated at Port of Spain General Hospital after he was shot at Almond Drive in Morvant this afternoon.

Police said Joshua Joseph was at his apartment at 12.15 pm when he was called outside. He later saw two men one of whom shot him in the right side of his stomach.

Relatives who heard Joseph's cry for help took him to the hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. Police say Joseph is not known to them and they have no motive for the shooting. No arrest has been made and investigations are continuing.
