Skerritt highlighted CWI’s focus on establishing a transparent and accountable selection process, securing more funding from the private and public sectors, ensuring employment opportunities for talented West Indians on the CWI staff, and investing in youth cricket and sport tourism in the region. Additionally, he stressed the importance of generating public discourse towards the revitalization and reformation of the organization.

Cudjoe expressed her interest in supporting CWI’s new direction and collaborating with the organization in advancing sport development within the Caribbean.

The Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs said it remains committed to supporting organizations which serve the needs of the athletes as well as the youths, while contributing to the overall development of sport in TT.
