Police in shootout with bandits in Tableland

Tableland Police caught up with five armed bandits just after they robbed Partap's Grocery in George Village yesterday. Shots were fired as the men tried to escape in a their waiting vehicle.

One was killed by police while two were detained and two others escaped. Tableland residents took to facebook to congratulate the TT Police Service (TTPS) for putting their lives at risk and saving business owners.

One said, "God's blessings.Tableland an George village have too much pest get rid of them."

Another said, "It was never so" and "Great job to Tableland police."
