GRENADIAN police have released a Tobagonian man who was held for questioning in Grenada after being lost at sea for two weeks.

Grenadian police sources said Rondel Kendall, 24, was taken to hospital immediately after being found and was treated for dehydration and minor injuries. After he was treated, Grenadian police questioned him, then handed him over the immigration officers who, according to sources, accompanied Kendall back to TT.

An earlier report indicated that Kendall and his friend Renaldo Moses, 17, set out on the night of March 15. Their GPS malfunctioned shortly after their departure and they could not get back to Tobago.

It was reported that Kendall and Moses survived in the ocean by drinking seawater and catching and eating raw fish, but on the third day of being lost at sea, Moses had a bad reaction to the raw fish and died.
