ALTHOUGH videos of Wednesday’s robbery at Tara’s Pharmacy in Barrackpore have been circulating on social media, no one has been arrested.

Police said shortly after 2 pm, two gunmen ran into the pharmacy at Rochard Douglas Road and announced a hold-up. At the time, there were four female workers present, all of whom complied with the bandits’ orders to hand over cash and personal valuables.

The bandits covered their faces with bandanas, and both wore hats, one a pink fisherman hat.

They pointed their guns at the women and even placed a knife at the throat of one.

They stole an undisclosed amount of money from the pharmacy as well as from the purses of each worker, and also left with the women’s phones and jewellery.

Since the videos were posted, social media users have been expressing their anger over the incident, referring to the bandits as pests and cockroaches. Some even wished for them to "just fall and dead."

PC Khan of the Barrackpore police station is heading investigations.
