Maloney man killed in drive-by

Police are investigating the murder of a 31-year-old man they described as a "pest" last night.

They said Wadiki Simmons was sitting outside his home at Building 17, Maloney, around 9 pm when a car pulled up. A man then came out from the passenger side and shot him several times, before getting back inside and driving off.

Residents heard the gunfire and on checking, saw Simmons bleeding. They took him to the Arima Hospital where he died while being treated.

Police said Simmons was a known "pest" and a priority offender. They suspected he was an affiliate of Richard Wilson aka "Bond" who was killed during a confrontation with police in Torrington Drive, Edinburgh 500, Chaguanas, earlier this month.
