Three JSCs to sit

THIS week three parliamentary joint select committees will sit to probe aspects of various state operations.

The financial oversight of municipal corporations comes under further scrutiny today (Wednesday) at 10.15 am when the JSC on Local Authorities, Service Commissions and Statutory Authorities meets at the J Hamilton Maurice Room.

Also today, the12th Report on the Administration of Disaster Relief in TT will be examined at 2.30 pm at the J Hamilton Maurice Room by the JSC on Public Administration and Appropriations. The adequacy of the magistrates' courts facilities will be examined on Friday at 10 am at the J Hamilton Maurice Room by the JSC on Finance and Legal Affairs.

Otherwise no date has yet been set for a sitting of either of the two Houses of Parliament.
