Murdered couple in Laventille still unidentified

POLICE are still trying to identify a man and a woman shot dead on Pashley Street in Laventille early on Monday morning.

Police believe at about 12.30, the two were dropping someone home after the I am Legend reggae concert on Sunday, but as they were leaving gunmen riddled their car with bullets.

Police received a report of gunshots being heard in the area, and found the couple dead and the car crashed at the side of the road. The man was lying in the road near the car, while the woman was hanging out of the window of the driver’s side.

The two bodies were taken to the Forensic Science Centre in St James.
