Water supply disruption in South this Thursday

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has advised customers in parts of South Trinidad, served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant, that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Thursday, between 8 am. and 12 midnight.

WASA said the interruption is due to planned maintenance works to be undertaken at the plant.

Areas to be affected include:

Rio Claro, Tabaquite, Navet, Tableland, New Grant, Hardbargain, St. Julien, Indian Walk, Hindustan, St. Mary’s Village, Cunjal, Cumuto, Whiteland, Poonah, Piparo, Morne Roche, Princes Town, Manahambre, Iere Village, Buen Intento, Malgretoute, Williamsville, Barrackpore, Bronte, Borde Narve, Ste. Madeline, Friendship, Penal Rock Road, Diamond Village, Golconda, Esperance, Corinth, Cocoyea, Retrench, Palmyra, St. Clements and Reform.

Customers have been told that it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalise to some affected areas, after the plant returns to full operation.
