Seepersad-Bachan: Rid yourselves of racism and tribalism

CONGRESS of the People political leader Carolyn Seepersad-Bachan has urged TT to put to death the “old life of sin iniquity, greed, selfishness, racism, tribalism and injustice of all forms” as the country joins the world and the Christian community in celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

In her Easter message, Seepersad-Bachan urged TT to “ live in sacrifice and service to each other, never holding back the best of ourselves but unleashing our God-given potential so that we may be able to transform this great land of ours.

“We must come to the “resurrection life” that Jesus lived,” she said.

She called on citizens to move forward in their new lives in Christ and assured, “I promise you this, our best days are ahead of us, only if we come together, honour each other and value each and everyone’s contributions to nation-building. Let’s not wait any longer to make it happen.”
