Kinnesha George-Harry

Police destroyed 2,000 fully grown marijuana trees and 500 seedlings in a joint exercise in the Castara forest early Sunday morning. The exercise was a joint effort by the Divisional Task Force, Emergency Response Patrol and officers from the Shirvan Road and Crown Point stations. Police said they journeyed five files before finding the marijuana field. They are yet to put a value on the bust.

Earlier, the officers found two bulletproof vests and an army kit during a search carried out in Jaegers Hall, Plymouth from 4pm Saturday to midnight. No one was held in either instances.

The exercise was co-ordinated by Snr Supt George and supervised by Sgt Stewart.
