THE Tobago House of Assembly is working out a way to handle the registration process for Venezuelan migrants.

Last week during a post-Cabinet media briefing, National Security Minister Stuart Young called on all Venezuelans living legally and illegally in TT to register under the Migrant Framework Policy by June 14.

Registration begins on May 31 and will allow Venezuelans to work here legally and access health care.

Addressing the topic, Chief Secretary Kelvin Charles said he supported the initiative.

"An admirable solution to a delicate but serious national security issue,” he said.

Charles said the technicalities are being worked out when asked how Tobago is approaching the registration process.
