Shameful use of city park

THE EDITOR: Nelson Mandela Park, Port of Spain, is now being used as a car park. Why?

Are officials from the Port of Spain Corporation responsible for the park ignoring the absolutely no parking signage in the park and the environmental laws?

What a total lack of discipline to facilitate indisciplined people who will publicly urinate there, throw garbage including beer bottles and other glass items, as well food containers.

At least former mayor Louis Lee Sing adhered to proper management of the park. Why is there turmoil for the green space now?

A person was caught urinating in public on camera and shamed. Should we do the same and shame those public officials breaking the rules and guidelines.

How are we ever going to achieve any positive action with our indisciplined citizens if public officials are not willing to enforce the laws of our land?

Shame, shame, shame!
